prop pulling

i need to have my prop tuned so i hope to remove it soon. will i have to disengage the rudder? how should the shaft be locked to remove nut, and what style of puller is required. 2002 28te

this will be a first for me, thanks!

The rudder can stay put. A block of wood wedged against the prop blade is all that is needed to keep it from spinning so you can back the nuts off. See this thread regarding the puller viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2303&hilit=pro+puller
