Vetus Thruster

Post by poillon1 »

In some years in the late 1990s Vetus used two different types of drives for the EC motors - a "key drive" aka a "tab drive"

or a "spline drive". The difference is not designated in their catalogues. The correct part number for the key drive is "# set 0149 BP 1103"

The spline drive is star shaped.

If anyone is looking for one, a friend has a new unused spline drive for sale that couldn't be returned to Jamesport Dist 'cause he waited a few weeks past their 15 day return deadline!

Good post, thanks for sharing. Why did his need replacing? Corrosion?

Wow, bad press for Jamestown, you think they would have taken it and just hit him with a restocking fee. I know you and he will never buy from them again. He should try and eBay it. What's it's value?
