Float switch replacement on 28TE engine box.

Float switch replacement on 28TE engine box.
I need to replace the float switch for the aft bilge pump on my 97 engine box. It took a while to find it. Access is terrible behind the Beast. The only way I can think of is to remove the engine box cover hinges to get in there. Any suggestions?
