1983 27FC kill switch

Post by ChrisP »

I just purchased an 83 27FC. She has been re-powered with an Isuzu C240 4cyl engine. The previous owner physically broke the engine kill switch (or button). Anyone have any idea what I can replace this with? It looks to be original to the boat. Being that the button or handle is gone, I don't even know what its supposed to look like. It has a red wire going to one terminal on the housing & a white wire to the other. The whole top of the switch is missing.
I was thinking of installing an industrial push/pull E-stop switch but I am uncertain of what the amp draw on the switch would be?
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
