A25 Forward and Aft Window Replacement

Post by cmoffatnc1 »

We are replacing the curved plexiglas windows on our A25. Has anyone had luck location replacement "cord" that fits in the rubber gaskets around the window?

Thanks.

You need to replace the weatgerstrip. No way to reuse it. There are posts here with partnumbers and everything. Any local glas shop can get you the weatherstripping and the lockstrip. Its not easy but not overly hard to do. Frustrating is the word i was looking for..

I happen to have about 12 ft of weather strip including lock strip in my shop collecting dust left over from when I redid our front & rear plexi windows in 2019, which I believe is enough to do one or the other but not both windows. I have the name and snail mail address of the guy I got mine from, a Mr. Edwards (John?), 117 W Irvington Place, Denver CO 80223. That's the only contact info I have, and that from the return address on the box he used to send them to me. If he still lives at that address you could write to him & find out where he got his from. Anyway, what I have is yours for the cost of shipping.

If 12 feet is not quite enough I have a couple of short scrap pieces that add up to another 32 inches, although 12 feet should be just enough to do one window. Since I just sold my boat I don't have it here to take actual measurements, but I believe the forward cabin window close to 5 feet across and 8 or 10 inches high with a shallow curve at the ends while the aft cabin window is closer to 4 feet wide and a sharper 3 or 4 inch radius curve on the ends.
