28TE thru hull

For the screws - what is the proper way? Over drill - fill with epoxy - then re-drill? Or can the holes be drilled then injected with 4200 and filled?

I do the same as for the thru hull hole .. Decore and fill.
If you have any around, I find that Hull and Deck putty takes a screw better than thickened epoxy which can crack. Use the 4200 to seal the screws and thru hull.

It's as hard as steel when cured and would not be my choice.

Interesting reading - I was under the assumption that Albin didn't use foam until 2002 but this week I have drilled two holes for my new transducers and my laid up december 99 launched 2000 boat is most certainly high density foam too.

Does anyone know if the foam was vacuum infused with resin because I had a real struggle digging the cores out of both of the 62mm holes using the allen key in a drill technique? I ended up digging it out with a sharpened screw driver since it was so hard.

Circa 2000 was always my understanding. My '00 28TE was foam cored and only 19 hulls later than yours.

I was thinking the same thing as Pitou when I saw the bolt pattern possibly larger than the volume of core removed.

Plugging along with project. Couldn’t find the outlet for the wiring of the pre-wired washdown switch on the helm switches. I ran a new duplex 10awg probably overkill but if you read enough forums about boat wiring if you don’t run 10 for everything you are going to burn your boat down. Ran the wiring for the livewell pump and future underwater lights from a 3 gang panel with nothing in it? at the helm just aft of the throttle.

Mounted the livewell fill on the transom side. Used a Shureflo with on/off control to make sure it doesn’t fill when not in use. Not sure at 19kts it will do anything though.

Unfortunately I think purchased and mounted an inlet instead of outlet for the washdown. May in future switch out but will get a male to male attachment for now. (Still have the console off my aquasport and have first charter on May 20).

Still need to get a stand pipe for the livewell - wondering if anyone else has one or knows what one is best/will fit.
