Beast to Yanmar
Has anyone out there refitted an older Albin 28 with an engine box and a Peninsula "Beast", with a new Yanmar 315? Wondering the approximate cost? I know the cost of the engine and transmission, but I'm sure it would need different electronics and controls. Have no idea of a total cost with install. Has anyone done that?

Not sure, but I thought the 6LP(A)-STE(P) series were outlawed as they no longer meet the emission requirements..?

I think that's probably right - but isn't it a state-by-state rule?

Not sure, but believe it is a Federal requirement.
Saw a YouTube video recently where a shop had to destroy/crush Yanmar 6LP blocks to make them unusable and how much force it took to crush ‘em.
