This is a purely air-pressure operated system for checking the fill level of all the tanks on the boat. I opted for one that will just do the fuel tanks, as we have accurate gauges for the water and waste tank, but you can get one that will handle up to ten tanks.

You simply press the button for the tank you want to check, then pump the plunger a couple times. This forces a small amount of air out of a tube that is inserted into the tank. Then, as the liquid fills the tube back up, it measures the air displaced to provide a super-accurate reading, in inches, of the tank's fill level.
I haven't installed it yet, but I saw it in operation at the production facility here in Gig Harbor, and it performed as described. I'm looking forward to having an accurate fuel gauge. The one we have now registers about 3/8 full when you're actually nearly empty. No amount of calibration or adjustment seems to have any affect.
