Wire tie the handle to a hoop. Mount something like this https://www.westmarinepro.com/buy/schae ... cordNum=18 to a piece of starboard and epoxy it to the hull and use a wiretye.

My understanding is if the waste goes straight over board, when in use, then the sea cock should be secured as Mike stated. I would think all boats have a holding tank. In my situation, I go to a holding facility (lack of a better term) and can only be discharged via a macerator or a deck fitting to be used at a pump out facility. Do I still have to secure the discharge sea cock? In the past CG Auxiliary inspections as long as pump out can not be operated from the head, all was good.

I found something on mine during the summer while I was chasing a bad smell from the heads. I have two Y valves. One under the sink unit and one under the helm seat. No idea why, both are locked off in the open position from when I imported her.

zip tying the Y valves has gotten me through multiple coast guard inspections with the overboard thru hull simply closed. there are eyes provided on the Y valves for this purpose.

Depends on who you get doing the inspection. No matter how the discharge leads to the sea or fresh water it needs to be locked. Direct from wye or massarator.

Mine also has two wye gates, one for head direct overboard, the othe goes from holding tank to either deck fitting or macerator pump overboard. Being antetiredmmaerchant shipmaster, There is no restriction for pumping sewage overboard once outside 3 nm unless you are a designated special area or mandated “ no discharge zone. I’m sure Albin set up these boats for offshore fisherman so they can stay out and dump sewage.
