I think Rob is holding out on us. Surely he's cruised since his last post. Come on Rob, lets hear about it!

Easy Victor is still on Ortega river near Jacksonville. I'm planning a trip up and down the St Johns in August and then I may reluctantly be selling my beloved Albin 25.
My job is demanding more of my time for the next few years and I hate to let the boat sit idle. (Not to mention the slip fees when I'm not getting enough cruising in!)

I'll be putting together all the details on the boat soon and listing her on AOG website first before I take out an ad anywhere. If you know of anyone looking for a great A25 DeLuxe, let them know!

Robdog, great post, just reinforces my desire to do loop myself. I would attempt to make it a stay aboard cruise, thinking in my Albin 27, it would take roughly one year. Does that sound reasonable for the loop? Would start my trip from Jacksonville FL. Was thinking March would be good departure time. Thanks again for a great post. Mark

Mark,
Yes, a 27 would be perfect for the Loop! If you have a generator, referigerator and a good anchor, you could stay aboard and anchor out more nights than in a marina and save $$$.
I would leave Jacksonville in March, head up 845 miles to Norfolk in 17-20 cruising days before hitting the big bays. By then, it should be a bit warmer up North.
I figure about 6 hrs a day at 8.5-9kts? Easy on a A-27.

Hey Robdog.1
Can you tell me about your exhaust set up for your yanmar 3JH4E?
Is it 3” diameter?
I’m repowerinf to yanmar 3JH4E and need your exhaust set up or recommendations.

Thx
