John or Doug? It takes a little getting use too. However, change is good for the forum and all. Well done I like the result.

Quick comment. I usually access via my computer, but this week I am compelled to access via iPhone. My fat thumbs often hit the poster's name when I intending to go to the post, which is just above said UN. Prolly just me, but I remember that part of the driver for this revamp is for those who access mainly via smart(?) phones. A little separation might help?

Re: Forum Change
It could be how my laptop is setup but the type goes far to the right and I need to use the slide bar at the bottom to view the entire message.
Any suggestions to get the page on a single 'sheet' so I don't need to slide the text back & forth?
Thanks.

Re: Forum Change
If you are scrolling left/right to view a whole page it's possible your resolution is set low. If your less than or at 1024x768 you may need to increase the resolution. This will affect ALL browser pages, not just AOG. The downside is that your fonts will be smaller to allow the increase in resolution. If you need a larger font, you can always increase the page size by hitting Ctrl-+ (plus) or Ctrl-- (minus) to decrease. Ctrl-0 (zero) will reset to 100% (default)
For example, my resolution is set at 1920x1080 which is recommended for my laptop display.

John
The new format is defiantly cleaner but does seem to have less information.
Looking at the list of topic there used to be a date for the last post and who posted it . Good to know if anything new had been posted on a subject.
And the date of the posts is really faint , I've seen that on many forums is that changeable ?
Cheers for all your work with the forum

Re: Forum Change
Warren,
Unless I'm misunderstanding, there is a most recent post date.
I know what you mean about the "faintness". I'll work on that.

Re: Forum Change
Hi john,
I look at this pages like this
viewforum.php?f=28
To check if anything new has been posted before I look at the threads. It's here where I think there used to be a date of most recent post in each thread.
Thanks a lot
Warren

Try using "quicklinks" (top left) and checking "Notifications" (top right)sail149 wrote: ↑Sun May 14, 2017 10:54 am Hi john,

Re: Forum Change
I find myself using the quick links esp. the New Posts tab. And as John suggest, the Notifications on the top right. I think a notification is that someone has posted to one of your original threads. Someday I hope to read all the FAQs, but these two serve me very well. Nancy first pointed out the Quick Links so I understood it. Thanks all.
