Rob, in regard to the two cooling holes, are they supposed to weep?

Weep? Like when the boat is on the hard? They are not part of any cooling or plumbing system, they are simply open passages for water to flow into the cutlass bearing. They could visibly "weep" if you start the engine on the hard (such as when winterizing) and you have a dripless shaft seal setup with a cooling water feed hose since the water will be fed from the raw water circuit into the dripless setup through the shaft log and then down and out the cutlass bearing.
