When my engine was taken out of the boat the shaft coupling was damaged. Does anyone know what type of coupler that Albin used and where to buy a new one?.
Thanks

I do t know the manufacturer in specific but it will be an off the shelf item. I replaced ours when the engine was pulled for work and 2 part paint with an off the shelf item I was able to pick up despite being over 3000 miles away and in a different continent to where the boat was made!

It's a 5"A split shaft coupler. Buck Algonquin. Best to pull the shaft out and take the shaft and the new coupler to a main shop (prop shop) for a fit & face. And get a new 3/8" key.

No problem. With a small puller like this it should come off easily. And if it's fitted by a machine shop the new one will tap on easily with no more needed than a rubber mallet. Remember, no butter bolts on the coupler!peterf wrote:Tks for the info Rob. Big help
