I don't like to recommend things that can result in a financial liability but I am using a company called Offshore Risk Management recommended by the broker that sold me my Albin. I also checked other companies and they were within range but ORM was the cheapest. This is an international company but a Florida representative is at this number (954) 430-3711. Their website is
http://offshorerisk.com/en/ There may be other explanations for the difference. My insurance value is $71,000 and the deductible 1,420. I don't have a tender to be covered.
In Fort Lauderdale you also have World Marine Underwriters that gave a good price and I may consider them when renewal comes. I would like to have a local agent.
Let me know if you find out something that I should know about ORM.
I am not selling my boat unless a great 31 or 35 comes on the market, preferably with a single common rail Cummins.
