I am looking for a new helm seat for my 28 te any suggestions would help me out greatly also where I can buy one?

Sorry Rob I am looking to upgrade my helm seat the one that came on my 02 28 te has very little back support

See my post in "General inquiries: swivel seat" dated April 3 2013. I replaced mine. They are bigger and better back support but being bigger, the captain's seat does not swivel 360 degrees. Check the screws on any seat you buy. They don't always tighten them sufficiently in the factories.

I replaced mine with a Bentley Rivermaster. Great seat with back support. Bought it through go2marine.com
With headrest $750. Looked at Lebrock and Stidd $$$$$$.

I installed a pair of Tempress High backs in my 28 last year. They do not swivel 360 but are much more comfortable. I thought they were a good value on sale at $225. Here is the spec.

rob did you have to buy a new mounting plate or use the one off the old seat if so what mounting plate and other materials did you go with?

Used the existing mounting plate- bolted right up.

Rob did you have to move your foot rest up with the new seat my feet do not reach it now
