clacking noise
On my 28 te with the yanmar 315 I hear a clacking noise it does not sound like it is comming from the engine but maybe the exaust elbow do they have a flapper in them or what else could cause this noise???

In or out of gear? The only thing I can recall being described as making a clacking sound is a damper plate.

I had my mechcanic down to take a ride with me and after running around at high and low speeds the clacking was present at 2500 rpm he thinks it is a baffel plate in the muffler

Once I had this clanking noise, didnt here it at low rpm, turned out to be a small line, bang bang bang wrapped a my shaft and prop. Removed it and no more bang
