Boat Name

Post by Ray Whitney »

Our 31TE is named the Patsyray, I am Ray and my wife is Patsy. This gives us a bit of security in our marriage. We hate the thought of having to rename the boat. We have had six boats with this name. 26 Searay,31 Senator, 36 Manatee, 42 Present, 34 Mainship, and now the Albin.

Baby Bella

Post by SpaceCoaster »

Our vessel is named the "Baby Bella".

Our oldest daughter (now age 6) had a doll she slept with in her crib as an infant; we called that doll Baby Bella. Although I've never thought about it this way before, I guess the Albin is to me what that doll was to my kid. Just a toy for a big boy (and family).

We named our boat for our four kids "FINESTKIDS" and they are just that! This is our second boat with that name and we will continue to use it for any future boats

We named ours Wonderland because of all the places we go to. The possibilities are endless.

Good post idea!

Current boat, and surely not the last, 1998 Albin 35TE is named "Legacy" because my ocean loving mum died last year and my modest inheritance helped us to get the boat. So it's her Legacy.

Our 1994 Albin 28TE was named "Spin Doctor" since it's the nickname for what I do (Advertising & PR)

My first couple of boats I named "O'Frigate". It's basically a philosophy when something goes wrong.
We bought the 34 Mainship and it was already named "Attitude Adjustment" which means a lot of things... what happens when we get aboard, going to a slow boat, you can fill in the rest. I always say we were smart enough not to change that name.
We kept that name for the Albin......"Attitude Adjustment".

We don't care for the I, II, II, etc. suffix.

I was struggling for a name when my brother came up with Dogonit - the dog is always on it. It stuck.

Mocha, 10 year old Lab Retriever, is my sidekick. Fearfull of the boat at first, she now thinks the docks are hers to protect and all of my dockmates are just another source for good snacks.

OK hear goes. Boat name "PITOU" sort of a french endearing term for
"little one". The Admiral's nickname given to her by her dad when very young / family still calls her that today.

Her sister's nick name was Tupetonnage "rolly polly" and the old wooden cruiser they boated on growing up in the 60's early 70's was the "TUPTOU". If dear old dad could name half a boat after her the least I could do was name the whole boat
"PITOU" Pitou on PITOU below! :D

Very nice looking boat there Pitou. Looks like you're ready for a North Sea fishing expedition! Looks very cool! Post some more pictures in the photo section when you have a chance - the guys around here are always looking for 'improvement' ideas and I'm guessing I could find more than one I like on your boat.

BTW - welcome to the board, glad to have another North Easterner here.
