Starboard side air vent above rub rail

Post by socalmike »

I tried to remove the ss air vent to replace the cracked, leaking plastic air box. I removed the 4 ss screws but the vent will not release. Any tricks to getting this off and what is the best replacement box to use. Ours is currently leaking behind the eclectical panel we have mounted next to the helm chair.

Thanks in advance

Mike.

You might have to work a little to get it out, but it should just pull out after the screws are removed. You may want to run a razor blade under the edge to cut any sealant that may have been used. The replacement collector boxes are available from Seadog:

Make sure you get the correct one as far as left or right.
