Mounting weaver snap davit heads

Post by Pedro »

My used Achilles came with weaver davits installed on the dinghy , the davit heads are the raised style about 4" high,
I have the 28te, I haven't checked the height yet , has anyone needed to use the raised heads on the 28 or do I need the flush ones? I'll try to modify them if needed,

Pedro, I think it best to run your own race here. By that I mean your loading may not match someone else's. I put my dingy behind the boat and got a measurement, all was good. When the real world checked in, by that I mean my wife and I on swim platform, motor an fuel can on board an other various and assorted sundries present my previous measurements were far afield. Also think about when you come back with several cans of fuel an water and booze. Thanks, Mark.

Thanks Mark, I figured all 28's would have the same height swim platform and therefore all would either need extensions or not, I'll know soon enough when I find the time to try it out,Pete
