Freedom 25 inverter/charger
I just inherited a relatively new xantrex Freedom 25 Inverter/charger. Overkill for A27? It currently has a separate battery charger in Starboard Lazarette and an inverter in the hanging closet. The Freedom replaces both correct?

Re: Freedom 25 inverter/charger
Waaaaay overkill unless you have about four L-16 batteries to hook to it
A 2500 watt inverter sucks over 200 amps from the battery it's hooked to at full song which your battery could handle for about . . . . 30 seconds! It also puts back more than 100 amps in the bulk charge mode which isn't good for little batteries either
For reference, I had a Freedom 10 hooked to four L-16's on my sailboat which worked very well. I had no AC loads of more than 1,000 watts and the charger worked well with my 750 AH battery bank
If it works, you should get good price for it - More than enough to buy something sized to fit your needs . . . . and your battery bank

Re: Freedom 25 inverter/charger
Anyone need a Freedom 25 inverter charger? Weighs a ridiculous amount. Almost like a square foot of lead.
