New Member Hello

Post by jackmarble »

Greetings. I am not yet an Albin owner, but hope to be in the near future. Currently reside in the Boston area and have been looking for a motor yacht to live aboard and cruise with a new family of three - the one who made us a trio is 16 months and loves being on the water. We recently were aboard our first Albin and pending financing would love to make an offer. I am not familiar with these vessels and joined the forum to hopefully learn more about Albin.

Thank you.

First off...welcome to the board! I can say as someone who first was on a boat at just over a month old, and have pretty much grown up on boats, it's a great way to go! That being said how long of a stretch are you looking at living aboard for? Which Albin are you looking at?

We have a "5-year plan" for living aboard. Figure we will re-evaluate once the little guy is ready for school. I have been shopping all winter but hadn't looked at Albin, or even trawler style yachts until recently. We saw a cutter last weekend and were really impressed by everything it had to offer. Great layout - felt like a much larger boat. The boat looks as though she has been well kept and well suited for our family. Anyway, posts on this forum have appeared in many of my google searches and I figured that I could probably learn a thing or two by browsing and reading what actual Albin owners have to say about their boats.
