spotlight not working

Post by chesapeake albin »

Can any one tell me if there is a replacement (lens? bulb?) for the motorized spotlight?
Mine has power as the thing will go up nd down but the light doesn't light all of the sudden.

Can I get a bulb for this thing? Is it Jabsco? or is it rayline?

Thanks again

Spot light was most likely installed by the PO. It could be any number of brands. Best bet would be to look it over for model number, or remove the bulb to find a replacement. Once the bulb is out you could also check the socket for voltage to rule out something else.

You need to pull the bulb to test it anyway. Then you can find out what it actually is. If you have a OHM meter and know how to use it you can test the element in the bulb as well as check for power. I'm sure there is a youtube about checking car light bulbs out there that would be helpful as well.
