Welcome to the board. Best advice I can give you is read everything you can find! Im assuming you have a peninsular in the boat? If so I would try and get my hands on the factory manual, it's extrmely helpful...I would contact peninsular they should be able to get you one. Diesels are actually quite simple and easy to maintain, you should pick it up quick! Clean air, clean fuel, clean and efficient cooling, and clean oil make for a happy motor!

Ditto clean air and clean fuel.. Carry spare fuel filters as well. Keep the heat exchangers clean and off you go.
