Oil change procedure ?? Oil exchange pump system
Hello-I'm new to my 2005 Albin 28 TE Flushdeck. Could you help me to find out where I can buy an Oil exchange pump system so that I can change my own oil. I have a Yanmar diesel. Any tips as to this procedure are appreciated.

i use an inexpensive hand pump vacu system that works reasonably well. only drawback is capacity, i need to do it twice to completely empty the crankcase.
available at any marine store

Re: Oil change procedure ?? Oil exchange pump system
I purchased a West Marine electric system. http://www.westmarine.com/buy/west-mari ... --14557425 It works well and because I buy my oil in 5 gal pails I just set it in the empty bucket then I don't have to drain the West Marine one. I hook up to the dipstick fitting and it gets most all of the oil. I leave it running (sucking) as I crack the oil filter to try and minimize the oil spilling out of the filter. Place a small bucket under the filter to catch the oil.

How about trannie? Does it work for that as well? Someone (I think Chris) bought the Harbor Freight 5 dollar transfer hand pump and said that worked too....
