Albin 28TE with a 220 hp Peninsular...?

Found a listing on Yachtworld here in Florida.
How is the reputation of the 220 hp Beast?
Also curious of speeds and fuel flows.
Asked the broker, he does not know, but will ask the owner.

Also found a 28TE with a Perkins:
Possible re-power?
Listed top speed was 26 knots with the 300 Perkins...

The Perkins can be a fine engine. Is there reason to repower? There is good support for the Beast.

I think 26 is a little generous with 300hp in these boats, but im far from an expert. What year is she?

The 28TE with a 300 hp Perkins is a 2003 model. It came with the engine from the factory

I think 220bhp would be badly underpowered for the boats potential. 300bhp is ok but at times I feel, especially in following seas that it could be just that bit more.

For me, the ideal power would have to be the 370 Cummins. I thought I read somewhere that the latest Yanmar 4.2 litre engine is also 370bhp. Now that would be perfect!
