[Off Duty]

Just wanted to stop in and say hello.

Retired LEO, Former Coastie, now a private business owner.
One of our companies is in the boating safety and instruction field, and another in the Tactical arena, with a focus on the cruising community. Enough of that!

The admiral and I are starting to look for our first "trawler style" boat, and have heard a lot of good things about the Albin brand, so I thought I'd stop in an take a look. Would love to do "the loop" as well as Coastal Florida. I live on the West Coast of the state and there's still so much to see.

We'll probably pick up a smaller CC or Cuddy for local higher speed/shallow water days here shortly.

Welcome Off Duty. Your are correct about Albins, but when you say higher speed, with our boats you are looking at semi displacement hulls. Smallest Albin you would look at if speed is an issue would be a 28 footer. A lot of the Loop is slow speed travel. Hope your ideal boat finds you. Thanks, Mark.

The smaller CC or Cuddy I was referring to would be something to run around the bay and such locally, and use for teaching purposes. My 9 year old granddaughter wants to learn to operate. She's all about boats and the water like me, and can already tie more knots than some sailors (LOL).

Definitely not concerned about speed when looking for a trawler.
I'm more concerned with reliability, economy, durability, comfort and safety.
Of course looks fit in there somewhere as well.

Speed is way down the list.
