Hi,
My 32+2 is fitted with a trolling valve. I can't seem to find info on how this is engaged, how you know it is engaged etc. and proper use. Any input is appreciated!
Thanks!

Re: Trolling Valve
I would get the specs and operating info on it NOW, not later, improper use WILL damage the tranny.

Re: Trolling Valve
On my Yanmar there is a valve on the transmission oil line. This valve has a cable and is controlled by a pull knob by the shifter / throttle. As RobS said improper use (going too fast or trying to, because you wont be able too) will damage (burn up the seals and damage gears from lack of lubrication and cooling) the transmission.

Re: Trolling Valve
In addition you can warp the pressure plates by having too high of an RPM.catalina_mike wrote:On my Yanmar there is a valve on the transmission oil line. Shifting in and out of gear with the valve engaged will cause damage as well. Disengage before shifting.
