Albin 28 TE

Post by Ron Littlefield »

Hi,
I operate a charter boat in Maine and I am in desperate need of a part for my boat. The part is the housing for the cutlass bearing. I have been waiting over a month for a new part and now am told I will need to wait 5 - 6 weeks longer. Please help if you know where I can obtain a new one or even used as far as that goes.

Thank you!

albin bearing housing dwg M24034.pdf
ron what is the problem with the old bearing housing? if it is that the 2.5 inch od centering stub that goes into the shaft tube is rotted away well you can get away without it.. or maybe you can have the housing bored out and press fit in a new stub. i was considering doing that repair before i found a new housing. boy are they expensive. by the way the attachment may be of some use.

That glassed bearing housing is a thing a beauty and an A+ replacement. Great design and fabulous work!
