Got the 'Mary Jo' wet little over a week ago. Launching went well if you don't count the 60 mph winds and heavy rains when we were getting ready for the lift. Note the clouds in the photo. The mover wrecked the sliding windows on the port side but they have been repaired since.
Happy with the way the little boat handles. The small wheel and soft helm is something I'll get used to. Also pleased with the way the little rascal backs up. Worked on pulling in the slip bow first and stern first. The tight turning radius also surprised me. Making right turns using the prop walk and some burst of power to help tighten the turn even more worked out better than I thought.

Sweeet.
How did they get it off the trailer? How are they able to slip the slings between the trailer and hull. I was looking at my rig the other day and wondering how that works. Does not look like enough room fore or aft to lift without getting the slings under the boat, and cant figure how they would do that

JT, The trailer bunks have to have openings where the sling straps go. You can't have long continuous bunk boards. That complicates the rig a little but it's possible. Also have to have clearance for getting under the keel at the strap line. I'm getting one built thataway. I don't plan on backing the trailer into the water for launching. I do plan on using a travelift at both ends of the trip. I just want to use it to take the short cut to the Chesapeake, the gulf, and the NW. You can probably modify yours to do the same if you don't want to water launch it. Ben
