DRAGONFLY 7
Hello All, can anyone tell me if they have installed a Dragonfly 7 and where exactly they placed the transom transducer? My boat is an Albin 35 T/E and the prop has a left hand rotation, Thanks.

Re: DRAGONFLY 7
I have the dragonfly 5 on my 28 - the transducer is the stern mounted one and it is in the worse possible place but still works fine.
If you haven't bought the 7 yet and want to use it as a stand alone fishfinder, save your money and buy the 5, the difference really isn't enough to warrant the extra money.
If you really want the 7 and want it flush mounted, make sure the flush mount kit is available as they still are like rocking horse s*** over here due to the massive back order raymarine have on them.
Also, once installed, update to the latest software, i think it is level 11 off the top of my head - available from the raymarine website.

Re: DRAGONFLY 7
You will also need the extension cables is you are fitting the stern mounted transducer - one 4 metre cable is just enough for a 28
