Well...if it is the one I am thinking of, she is now on our mooring after
a lovely, albeit slightly rushed trip up the coast. Passed by your way on the
4th ahead of the weather. We were hoping to spend some more time around
Montauk/BI on the way but our schedules and the weather were just not in
sync. That's boating though:) Nice to be on the water again....

The 35 TE in Annapolis, MD that was listed for $109,000 is now showing "deal pending" on Yachtworld. Reckon it has closed and moved north?

Yes, the listing status is a bit dated. We closed on the 1st and
started out that morning. The trip was not without it's challenges
which is to be expected given the length of time idle but we
were well stocked and had a nice run overall. One item others
may want to look at is the fuel tank ventilation. I do not know
if this was a factory defect or a result of work that was done later
but about 35nm SSW of Fire Island I was once again in the engine
room changing Racors while Ruth kept us pointed
but this time due to water. The vents are in a poor location and
the hoses run down from them so the spray got pulled into the
tanks when running. I pulled them into the cockpit and tied
them off until I decide how I want to proceed. Have since pumped
the tanks and plan on pulling them all and reworking the installation
this fall. Wasn't a good feeling having to run the contaminated fuel
through but the Racors handled the worst of it. I didn't find any
water in the engine filters and so far so good.

My boat had this exact problem and the vents were moved to just aft and a little higher than the side air intake vents. They are almost even with the back of the salon.

The vents have a cover with that opens to the rear and the water overflow is also located here too.

Our '06 has a different style of vent located just aft of midships (just behind the house). The hoses are all looped above the vents and should shed any water that enters them.
