Hi, I just joined your wonderful group. My name is Bert Torstenson and I was born in Sweden.
I have a 1976 Albin 25, which I have had for about 5 years. I keep the boat at Plunder Bay Marina on Lake Champlain in Orwell Vermont. I have done a bit of cruising on the lake and out of the lake. For the past three years, my brother and I have made the trip from Lake Champlain to the Chesapeake Bay. We sail the boat down in the fall, store it for the winter at Worton Creek Marina in Chestertown Maryland and make the return in mid May of the following year, I have to add that my brother lives in Chestertown and I live in Brandon VT. I retired in 2007 from the Postal Service, my final positon was Postmaster of Granville VT, I spend most of the summer working on the Albin or cruising.

Happy New Year Bert. That is a very interesting way to spend the winter months. Worton is a favorite destination for us during the summer months.
Welcome to AOG.

Welcome aboard, Bert, from another Vermonter! We haven't made it as far as Orwell yet. One of these days . . .

Bert,
Glad to see you over here as well.

Nancy,
There are a group of us from Vermont and NH who have been getting together very informally. We all have 25's but are certainly not exclusive. Feel free to give me a shout off list (neil at techmastervt.com) and I would be happy to fill you in. ( secret - Bert is one of us ;000)

Bert: Nice to have you aboard with another 25 Classic. You seem to be living the good life - what most people dream retirement will be. Does not get much beter than boating, cruising & fishing.

Welcome Bert from a former Vermonter!!! My wife and I lived in Bennington for 34 years before taking our 40 NSC down the coast 2 years ago to Stuart Florida. We cruised around the Lake many times and enjoyed our many overnighters on the hook. Mallet's Bay was our favorite spot. If you ever get a chance, take a trip down the Champlain Canal to the Troy/Waterford area. A nice relaxing, scenic ride with plenty of free dockage.
I understand there's bit of a chill in the air up that way. Upper 60's for our brutal cold front!!! Back into the upper 70's today...80's tomorrow! Hope you thaw out!! Enjoy!
It's all about relaxation :)
