Cheers to all, Rick & Irene Scott here.

Post by sweet dreams »

We have owned our Albin Nimbus 42 sailboat "Sweet Dreams" for 22 years. Our home port is Lake St. Clair in Michigan. We have cruised Lake Erie, Lake St. Clair. Lake Huron and the Georgian Bay. We have visited the North Channel of Lake Huron every year since we bought Sweet Dreams, save one when Irene was ill. I work as a part time Captain driving the J. W. Westcott, a tug delivering mail, pilots and other personnel and supplies to freighters and tugs working on the Detroit River, and drive the Spirit of DYC a shuttle boat for members and guests of the Detroit Yacht Club and have worked on the Infinity and Ovation, two cruise ships that work on Lake St. Clair and the Detroit River. Look forward to communicating with other Albin owners. Cheers to all.

Hi Rick!

Welcome to AOG. We've got a few Albin sailors here, and a bunch of "reformed" sailors now running Albin powerboats. Sounds like your experiences will be of interest to all!

Glad you found us. Happy New Year!

Hey Rick: You seem to be in everything boating. We will enjoy your sailing comments as well as your tug & other experiences. Welcome.

Welcome Rick and Irene.

It's nice to see another great lakes boater and I have been to Detroit, the Detroit River and Lake St. Clair many times over the past 40 years. I am a retired charter captain hailing from Beaver Creek, Lorain, Ohio. I am on my eleventh and final boat, a 1994 28' Albin TE which I plan to enjoy during my retirement years.

I have enjoyed my limited time being involved with AOG and recommend the site to everyone. I'm sure you will too.

Happy new year and hope to see you some time on the water.

Thanks to Dougsea, whwells, and captvz for the welcoming notes. Very nice to be welcomed. Trying to figure out how to respond, so trying this to start with. Happy New Year to all. Hope to get involved with the AOG.
