The bearing on my raw water pump failed while underway. We were forced to push on and the pump got pretty trashed (along with my altenator) The pump was a jabsco 18840 with 1" id hose barb. The 18940 is significantly cheaper but has a 1 1/4" id hose barb. I can make it work with a reducer but I'm wondering if it will create some kind of flow rate problem.
Also, can anyone give some advice about where to get a replacement altenator?

i am in the process of having mine rebuilt. The pump htat is on my Nissan is a jab1884...which is the one with the 1' ports. it is what was on the boat when i got it and worked well. that being said new pumps with 1.25 outlets are on ebay now for $350. so either way you should be good to go.

Jonvb1024,
The replacement alternator is an ARCO 60108. Seems to work perfectly.
The water pump came from ebay. Also seems to be working perfectly.
