Considering an Albin 27 sport express (not the aft cabin.) 88-vintage.
Engine is a 78-hp 4JH-DTE.
Any idea what speed I should expect for cruise?
How about wide open?
thanks.

Re: Albin 27 Sport Express Cruise Numbers
I have the same model. Mine came with the 100hp Westerbeke. My top speed was 9.0kts. That was wide open. Hard to move faster than the hull speed. I have since re-powered with 200hp Volvo TAMD41A. Cruise at 13kts now . Smiles

Re: Albin 27 Sport Express Cruise Numbers
I am considering buying an A 27 with W100 Westerbeke diesel. Can anyone share the pros and cons of this engine.
Thanks in advance,
Clive
