28TE "Enhanced" Cabin Table

Post by carolmarie »

Attached are two photos of our "enhanced" cabin table. My brother-in-law recently completed the work. The original Formica was covered in cherry veneer, cove molding added and then a compass rose inlay. It was finished with a two part epoxy followed by three coats of gloss spar varnish. We think it really looks great without looking "yachty".
(I suspect the real fishermen would probably disagree.)

Very nice. That's a project I always had lurking in the background. Love the compass rose / sharp!

Absolutely Exquisite!!!!! And by the way, real Fishermen value the Compass Rose, especially off-shore and having nothing but paper charts and a compass on board when all else fails.
