First Blackfishing Trip
Yesterday on Southwest Reef off Westbrook, Ct. Slow to start but we were at the end of the incoming tide and they generally need some current to bite. We did pick up 2 barely keepers then moved to the lee side of the reef when the tide turned. Finally. I got 3 in the 20-23" range. Forgot how good they fight. Good workout. Nice sunny day, light breeze, small waves. Cold beer.

Re: First Blackfishing Trip
Nice Dave. How deep were you fishing? Water temp?
We have been unable to get out to the offshore wrecks due to sea conditions but have picked just keeper sizes and "almost" keepers along the inlet jetties.
