C&C changes...

Post by sablack »

Hello all,

I read in one of the posts that C&C was making several changes to the 28 TE fit/finish and/or how "it all goes together". Does anyone know what changes they have/are implementing from the ones built by the original company (don't really care about the intermediate builders)?

All,

Just thought I would post this bit of info I got from C&C:

...We are currently building high end boats for JBoats (three
model complete), hulls, decks and small parts for Hunt Yachts, and several
other quality products. This "high end" mentality is part of everything
that we build, including our own lines: NorthCoast and now Albin.

The first thing that we did was to re-surface the molds in order to produce
a finish that is free from defects. Many of The previously built boats
needed to be wet sanded and buffed before they could be shipped. Some even
had to be painted. We also use the highest quality gelcoat and other
construction materials. We also are using components that are readily
available. I receive many inquiries for parts as simple as hinges, latches,
and other plumbing fitting from owners that I can not help because the
previous builder used obscure parts...

We are currently building the "Newport Edition" of the 28 TE. We plan to
build the 32 and 35' models as the market improves.
