Cockpit Enclosures

Post by Jack-B »

I'm a new owner of a Albin 27 family cruiser. The cockpit panels that came with the boat are not serviceable and need to be replaced. I have the old set and can inquire locally but does anyone know if there is any outfit that specializes in this for Albins? Thanks for your help!

Any good canvas shop should be able to do the job. Suggestion; take the eisenglass all the way to the back of the cabin. While you are at it, have a pad made for rear cabin top.

Any canvas shop can build you an enclosure. I just replaced the original. As Veebyes suggested, we went with clear all the way around and had screens made up for the 2 ingress/egress panels on the sides and the center aft panel. We are very happy with the way it came out.

I dont have any great pictures of the enclosure, but can provide if you want. The pad Veebyes was referring to would cover the top of the aft cabin for a place to lounge when on the hook.
