I have a buy contract on a 1980 36 foot. Couple of things....
The fore and aft teak sun and ventilation hatches need to be replaced with something. The fore hatch is broken at the port-side hinge and the aft hatch is, well, gone. I would like to know if there are replacement hatches that can be fitted to the openings other than the standard teak hatches. If not what are my best plays here.
Also I have seen several posts about fuel economy but all of the posts seem to be showing info for the Lehman 120s. This boat has the 135. Any figures to share?

Thanks

Fuel consupmtion for the 135 will be the same as for the 120. The difference will be negligible.
My aft hatch is nothing more than a teak frame with 1/4 inch thick acrylic screwed to theframe. Easy to make. Front hatch could be the same, but of course I have the "doghouse" style which is original and still in good condition.

thanks for the response.
Can you give me the dimension specs of the frame and acrylic shell. Is the acrylic piece flat or a bubble?

The acrylic is flat. I don't have the dimensions. I could measure mine, but I'd be afraid yours may not be the same. These boats did not have strict quality standards so they may vary boat to boat.darrellg wrote:thanks for the response.

I did a lot of internet searching before I bought the piece of acrylic as it is pretty pricey. I think I ended up paying something like $70 for the piece and it was "about" 24 x 24.
