Has anyone installed the Marvair on a 28 TE ?
The cooling capacity may be marginal. It is a 5000 BTU unit and is rated for spaces up to 300 cubic feet A very rough estimate of the cabin size is about 360 cubic feet.

Hmmm, if you were here in the Northeast I'd say 5k with the cabin doors shut would do you fine. Not sure about FL. If memory serves there is a FL member with a 5k unit that does the job. Use the Search function (ie. "btu"), and you should find some good info.

5000 BTU would do it for the cabin. We have a 5K Cruiseair drop in unit in the hatch. We run it 24/7 at the dock in north Naples, FL to keep the inside cool and dry in the summer. You can purchase one on Craigslist for about $400.
Blessed are the flexible, for they shall not be bent out of shape.

Thank you very much for the replies.
I think that I will try the 5000 BTU unit.

I heard from a Marvair representative today. He doesn't recommend the 12 volt unit because of concern about inadequate cooling capacity.
tt is back to one of the 110 VAC air conditioners.

Hi Rob,
Thank you very much for the link.

Installing the AC on a custom platform over the thruster looks great.
