Got a little bored this winter, So I built a little generator that fits under the floor.

Well John, that’s how this project started out as, surfing the internet. It has been along wet windy winter here and it’s not over yet. As I look outside it is 47* and 28knt winds.
I was hoping to make it out to the east coast to see how you guys boat, but present market conditions have delayed our plans.

Don,
This is really amazing. Great photos too. Please tell us if you actually cast and machined the parts yourself - I can see some welded pieces, but what about the block, flywheel, crankshaft etc.? Beautiful work.

Joe,
The base engine is a single cylinder water cooled Kubota diesel. I wanted it to fit under the floor so height was a problem, it is less than 14" tall with the mounting brackets.
