neat and sweet tank job
I went down to Oceanport NJ yesterday to see how things are going with my tank replacement. The fellow from the marina is a bit of a misanthrope, but he did a great job cutting the old Taiwan tanks out and preparing a platform either side for the new 100 gallon poly tanks. All new CG approved fill hoses and vent hoses fuel hoses. Also painted the platforms either side machine grey which looks dandy. He managed to do the job without moving the engines. He also replaced the old motor mounts and installed nutral safety switches on the tranmissions. He may not talk to anyone but he is really doing a good job. I have two 135 Lehmans, which the previous owner said burn 5.5 gal per hour This would still give me a solid 4 days of running between fill ups. Does anyone else with a 40 trawler know about the hourly fuel consumption ? Jay Aquarius

Between 2 and 3 gph each engine sounds about right.
