Snow. Did you ever notice that it has "NO" in the middle. Is it ever going to end? Seriously? Kat and I went down to the new boat yesterday for a bit more of the "make it ours" work. But that's another story.
Since apparently winter refuses to give me a break I thought I'd introduce you to an older member of the family - because I'm spending a lot more time with "him" than I want to!!
So, here's the "S/B Snowy II"
He's a 2008 Troy-Bilt Storm 3090 XP with a nice big 357cc powerplant. Has 6 forward and 2 reverse speeds...
Here he is with the Tender. I havn't named it yet. The T/T Snowy II I guess.
Next up is the "helm". Check out the "Finger Tip" steering!
And because we need to have the creature comforts, heated handgrips. (Yes, I said heated handgrips...but I still feel manly!) And Joystick directional control! It's awesome.
Nice big tires.
And check out this running gear! 30" throat! Looks like I picked up some seaweed or line...oh wait, no, that's grass.
And finally, what a wake!!
Anyway, hope those of you looking a similar scenes know that I'm sharing your pain. And those of you boating today? Please raise a glass for us!!

Re: Meet "Snowy II"
Wow Doug, quite an impressive post. Shouldn't you be working and making some extra money to feed that 2nd engine..
Well I have 2 girls that do my snow removal. No, thier names are not Grace & Elle, it's Allis and her twin sister Allis, as in a pair of 1969 Allis Chalmers B-210 Garden Tractors.
One blows the snow:
And the other pushes it:
And she's been known to pull from time to time:
Can't do that with your Troy-Bilt !

Re: Meet "Snowy II"
Snowy II might be able to tow my Whaler...but I think you have me beat!
And one of your pictures has a boat in it. Darn! (This IS a boating forum, not that I can think of boats right this second...)
Altough, now that I look back, so does one of mine!

Is that a red hull? Did you get sick of waxing and break out a rattle can one afternoon. It's no secret that Whaler hulls are tough to shine..DougSea wrote:... Although, now that I look back, so does one of mine!

Re: Meet "Snowy II"
That's a whole different story! Sonny Jr., aka "The Whaler" (yes, there's a naming theme) is a 1962 13' that was in very rough shape when we bought it about 10 years ago. Along with all new wood, rub rails, and engine bracket it got an Interlux Brightside "Fire Red" hull. I never even considered gel coat repair. I think it looks great! I'll see if I can dig out a photo or two.
