Ostfriesenblau sends greetings!

Post by Ostfriesenblau »

Capt. E.C. is new to the AOG and sends greetings to fellow members.
For me, Albin equals a "son's dream". I grew up on the Mississippi, home port is Lake St. Clare, MI. I have sailed worldwide and have now purchased an Albin 33 AC for one last voyage. My Father is aging and I want to make a special voyage with him.... The Mississippi from Lacross to Memphis.

I would appreciate contributed information on; a. The River Trip, destinations, navigation aids, hazzards and pleasures. b.) precautions and preparations for taveling with senior citizens (not in my experience base). c.) Assistance in the Duluth/Superior or Lacross for boat prep, storage and modifications. d.)recommendations for a possible engine swap, mid 80 Lehman for a 2000 turbo Yanmar. e.) Albin specific safety and riggint tips.

Thanks in advance for your assistance. E.C.

Welcome Captain!
I'm sure others will jump in here with some information.
