Caution on Chesapeake

Post by loubennett »

Just a caution for this weekend. Anyone who ventures out on the Chesapeake Bay and it's tributaries this weekend should keep a sharp lookout for floating debris. With yesterday's rain and extreme high tide it is likely that all sorts of stuff was washed into navigable waters. I hit a semi-submerged tree branch last year and it resulted in both a bent prop and bent rudder.

Hi Lou,
I took a long ride Saturday.
Middle River, Hart-Miller Island. Around Pooles Island and north towards Havre De Grace. Didn't see much of anything in the upper Bay. I was surprised.
