Fuel Additive

We have a Ford Lehman 120. Wondering what others are using in their tanks?

I use Stanadyne. The exhaust is noticably cleaner. It is a cetane booster along with things that clean the injectors. Just Google it and you'll find both the maker and online dealers. My mechanic recommeded it.

I use 2 cycle engine oil. Gives added lubricity, although I probably don't need that. Exhaust is clean as a whistle now. Engine start good only minimal white smoke for a minute or so, no black smoke even at WOT.

"Soltron" here. I have zero fuel issues so it probably works.

I've heard others using just two-cycle oil. How much do you put in? The previous owner of my boat used Marvel Mystery Oil.

I put in few ounces per 50 gallons or so.
If you read the study about adidtives and lubricity you'll find that Marvel actually removes lubricity. 2 cycle oil was considered one of the better additives for lubricity and the cost is low.
I did go thru a "phase" when I had my Dodge/Cummins truck where I was adding used motor oil every fill up for lubricity. However it made the exhaust a little smokey so I abandonded that practise.

I use Startron for my Cummins. It's the only fuel additive recommended by the gearhead guru from Passagemaker Magazine. (Steve D'Antonio)
A separate thought here. My Webasto furnace guy always told me to never use diesel fuel additives because the forced air webasto furnaces didn't like them
