Solomons & Taylors Island
Took a four day weekend this past weekend. Annapolis to Solomons on Friday. The bay was calm and I made record time at 17.5 knots most of the way. Spent Sunday in Solomons including the mandatory stops at the Tiki Bar. My brother and his family were finishing a two week cruise there and it's always nice to get together by boat. Sunday was Solomons to Taylors Island. Docked at Slaughter Creek Marina. The restaurant there is under new management and the food is good. The bar crowd is also friendly. I recommend it as a stop along the bay. A man came into the bar and asked the bartender if she knew who owned Quest. I had a short conversation. He recently bought a 28 TE that he keeps at Cambridge Yacht Club. He knew about AOG and I encouraged him to join. I also told him we were having the Fall Escape at the Hyatt and he should come over and meet some fellow owners. I have his card and will contact him with the details. Monday was back home to Annapolis. All in all it was a good weekend. Quest ran fine except for the autopilot but that's another story where the final chapter is not yet complete. I'll fill you in after it is. For now I'll just say if you're having a problem with a Raymarine Smartpilot X-10, contact me. I think we are zeroing in on the cause but I don't want to broadcast it until I'm sure.

Another great cruise on the books! I'm feeling left out. Hope to see you in Cambridge Lou.
