New Owner 1970 Albin 25
I recently aquired a 1970 Albin 25. I am in need of any owner manuals and window molding. Any suggestions?

Hi Matt,
We're relatively new 25' owners too. Any photos of yours?
Attached is an original 25 handbook but may be outdated depending upon what drivetrain you have now.
I'd also be interested in window rubber/trim if anyone out there has a line on some...???

For the windows trim, I got that on Albin Yahoo group:
I hope it will help!
I hope it will help!
To place an order for material you must order through a company- perhaps the
company you work for - they do not sell over the counter to the public. They
seem to sell to auto glass or storefront glazing co's, also showerstall and
screen and storm door component people.
Company is: C R Laurence Co. , Inc. (Main Office)
PO box 58923
Los Angeles, Ca
90058-09213
TELEPHONE 800-421-6144 FAX 800-262-3299
My Local area office was: C R Laurence
97 Robert T Paine Dr
Taunton, Ma 02780
508-822-5374
Material Ordered: QTY Product DESCRIPTION
1 ROLL AS1456 50' w/strip 1/4x3/16
1 ROLL 713080 50' chrome filler strip
Cost about $55 plus shipping
There was also a special tool purchased to install the locking filler
strip - about $15 - worth the price.
Catalog also includes instructions to install - make sure you get it or you
will waste time and do it wrong. i.e..You must over cut rubber by 1/8" /
foot of length or it will shrink and leak at the butt joint. My forward
galley Window req. 1-1/8" due to 9ft length. Plastic cut 1/8" longer .
I chose this style due to 3/16" for wrapping fiberglass and 1/4" to wrap
glass. Place the rubber splice joint center line top of opening and plastic
joint center line bottom of opening.
Also used 1/4" LEXAN MR (mar resistant surface) from commercial glass house.
Will last longer. Worked well - shaped to curve of galley and aft cabin - no
problem. Cut easy with saber saw and fine blade.
You'll need an extra pair of hands to do the job, but not all that hard.
Good Luck,

Re: New Owner 1970 Albin 25
This is a good find, thanks!
I'm repairing / re fastening some of the curtain rod holders inside.
The screws used are only 1/4" and don't have much "bite".
By the specs on the window rubber, it sounds like the FRP cabin thickness around the window areas is 3/16".
Is this correct?
Thanks
