For the purpose of shipping by truck, does anyone know the total height of a 31TE?
Thanks

Re: Shipping a 31 TE
Hi MikeH,
The 28 is just under 11'. I have read other posts here that most shippers require you to remove the arch. One of our members, Matt, founder a shipper with a trailer designed for the Albins that allowed him to leave the arch and only remove the radome. Search the forums for height and/or shipping.
Are you the MikeH that lives on Still Pond?

Thanks for the info. No, I'm the MikeH that lives in Los Angeles and shopping for a 31TE. I suspect everything above the hardtop will need to come off. A shipper told me today that 13'6" is the max height. It looks like there are a lot more 31's available on the East Coast.

We are in the process of buying a 31 TE with twin engines in Florida and will be shipping it to Maryland by truck. If all goes well, she should be traveling up Route I95 next week. I will let you know how things go, and if you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them.
By the way, we are very excited........went down there last week for surveys/sea trial. Terrific boat!!

Great news! I remember your other post about looking for an Albin. Congratulations.

I live in Northern Ca. I've seen a couple nice 31's in the So-cal and Nor-cal areas on Boats . com and a few other site searches. I also would love to upgrade to a 31 from my 28te, but would have to sell my 28 first.
